My New Job at Kentuck Knob
I am officially the new Educational Marketing Director at Frank Lloyd Wright's House on Kentuck Knob.

This is a dream job for me because it combines my degrees in Anthropology, Geography, and Writing, and my experience as an educator, archaeologist, and travel industry worker.

Neil Gaiman once mentioned something about each one of us connecting to certain energy centers around the world: that's how Kentuck feels to me.

Congrats! I only heard of Kentuck Knob for the first time this past weekend. I think we have another road trip to take...

Thanks, Mindy.

Yes, I do think you have another road trip to take. ;) Not only do we have the house, but also an incredible sculpture meadow.

Congrats, Heidi! It's great when we get to do something we love, and get paid for it.

Kentuck is a fabulous place and I wish you all the best!

Not to mention architecture. I am so jealous, but in a good way. (Wondering if it would be practical to tour Kentuk Knob and Fallingwater in the same day)

Yes, both are quite doable in one day!

Since Kentuck and Fallingwater have the same reservations system, I would suggest making a 10:00 AM reservation at Kentuck so you can tour the house for 45 minutes, then walk the amazing sculpture meadow for as long as you like. Then, you can catch a quick lunch at our cafe or Fallingwater's cafe and you're ready for your 2:00 at Fallingwater. (There are also several places in Ohiopyle to eat, which is convenient as you pass through the town and state park on your way to Fallingwater.)

The properties are only 10 minutes from one another.

I'm sure you've been to Kentuck a million times already.

You are so right about the people; it's a wonderful work atmosphere.

Congratulations! Kentuck Knob is one of the Frank Lloyd Wright houses I haven't heard of. And at one time, I organized summer trips around driving to see his houses.

Very, very cool.

Thank you, Charlie!

Kentuck only opened its doors to the public in 1996, so it may have still been a secret at the time.

Next time you and the fam head our way, we'll do the rafting thing and a visit to Kentuck.
