Scifaikuest #15
I have a joined scifaiku titled Five Parsecs Away in the February 2007 print edition of Scifaikuest edited by Teri Santitoro. The featured poet in this issue is Deborah P. Kolodji.

This was my first published poem. :)

By the way, I'm doing a blog series soon where I interview authors. I'd love to tell you about it, if you're interested.

You can email me at heidi at moonstonewritings dot com.

Thanks!

Thank you.

Love the new av. Beautiful. I think that's probably what Soli from my book looks like, only with baby blue hair.

I totally believe you could pull it off. Maybe in June?

Congratulations!

I haven't seen the issue although I've been hearing about it as it makes its way across the country.

Does the issue have my middle initial as "J" instead of the "P" it should be?

(Please, please tell me that it doesn't).

P or J

Unfortunately it's still P. :(

Your work is wonderful, though!

Wait a minute...should it be P or J?

Thanks.

(No problem at all - I'm very relieved that it was you and not Scifaikuest who got the initial wrong. Back in the 1990's, someone once published one of my poems under "Deborah J. Kolodji" - I think it was "Tales of the Unanticipated.")

(The "P" stands for "Pauline" as in "The Perils of....")

lol

I'm looking forward to reading your poem (when I receive the issue).

What are the odds I'd pick a J?

Coincidences rule the world I always say.

I even studied my keyboard to figure out if there was a way that "J" could be easily mistyped for "P" but have decided to either chalk it up to a coincidence, or....as the night grows later...begin to think that I might be a changeling and my real middle name might be "Jeanette" or "Jasmine"

lol

Thanks! I'm glad you like my work! I'm very anxious to see the issue. Maybe I'll get it today?

(I'm relieved that it's "P" - it should be!)

My issue came today.

"Five Parsecs Away" is a nice poem - it was the first thing I read (after all this conversation about it, I deliberately looked for it!) Congratulations, again!

May this be the first of many, many published poems.

Debbie

Thank you, Debbie. :)

When I saw the subject I thought maybe you figured out how I chose the J instead of the P. (ha, ha!)
